Colour TV was founded by Jay Pond-Jones in 2004, following the success of Flipside TV, which ran on Channel 4, and Paramount Comedy.
Specialising in comedy entertainment, Colour TV has since produced series’ for Virgin Media’s Bravo channel in the UK, and for Comcast’s G4 channel in the US. The G4 commission, the primetime comedy – The International Sexy Ladies Show, went to a second series, producing a total of 20 episodes, which continue to air in 2011.
The first Colour TV commission was the radio documentary for BBC Radio 2, Dusty In Memphis.
A number of Colour TV’s factual entertainment formats have also been optioned by other producers, including One Millionaires, Be Your Own Boss, What Would Jesus Do?, and To Catch A Crook.
Colour TV also works with advertising agencies and brands, developing all forms of multi-platform content for broadcast and live events. 2011 sees the relaxing of rules regarding the integration of brands into broadcast content. Colour TV, especially with Jay’s advertising background, is well placed to help people wishing to exploit this new and exciting area.
